Cherry culture review

So I recently made a purchase off of cherryculture.com
I got 6 items as pictured above
(I will also review the products on my next blog)
So I got these items off of cherry culture as I wanted some NYX products as I have heard great things about them and such a good price, these items were not only cheap to begin with but also had an extra 40% off NYX.! Can't complain, the 5 NYX products came to about 18 dollars and then I have wanted a beauty blender for a while so thought I would get that while I was paying for the shipping anyway.. So shipping did come to about 12 dollars but I thought that was okay..

I purchased this on a Tuesday almost 3 weeks ago, so shipping took a long time especially after paying 12 dollars for it.!
I thought I had this sent to work, and I said to my self thismorning I better get this tomorrow when I go into work ( as today's my day off and that would have been exactly three weeks on since ordering) I was starting to thing it was a dodgy site but today I got home and it was at my doorstep, turns out I got it sent to home haha so it arrived at last but I was confused, what is this reading the box it said art supplies. But after openin it I was happy to see this was my cherry culture purchase and even better yet nothing was broken and everything I ordered was actually in the box and was the right colour and full and unopened.

If I ever want any products from this site again I will repurchase but I will keep in mind that it will be 3 weeks away..

Anyway happy shopping and check out my next blog ( tomorrow) if you want to know how  these products go for me, pretty excited to use my beauty blends.

Sample bar May Review, NZ birch box

SAMPLE BAR MAY

     Glam pack

May glam pack came very quickly, Sample bar teamed with Life pharmacy for this months limited edition glam pack, kind of inspired for Mother's day. (I guess thats why is early, we needed it before Sunday). We also got a voucher for life pharmacy for $10 off any of the full size products from this months pack. Yay for discounts.!
YELLOW! YELLOW! YELLOW!

LIMITED EDITON

the first product I pulled out was the SHISEIDO PORE SMOOTHING CORRECTOR, this product is designed as a base for your foundation, basically it smooths out your pores (duh!) but it also prevents shine for an even matte finish, it makes your skin feel velvety smooth. I tried this out and i really liked the way it felt on my skin and made my foundation look, no bumps or holes.
value: $25.80 5mL

The next product was the PREVAGE FACE ADVANCED ANTI-AGING SERUM, i think this was supposed to be for the mum side of it, or maybe for us to try to see if we would like to get it of our mums for Mother's Day. this serum is an anti-oxidadant to help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and discoloration. I don't like the way this smells, and I don't think i need help with the above but you can't review something without using it first. It doesn't feel like anything going on to your skin i think it's just one of those things that only time would tell if it truly works.
value: $29.90 5mL (you would hope it works at $299 for full size)

We go another mascara this month, we haven't had one if a few months now so I guess thats okay :)
LANCOME HYPERNOSE CUSTOM WEAR VOLUME MASCARA, designed to give 6 times more volume, it isn't supossed to clump or smear, a real issue I have when it comes to mascara.
value: $18.33

perfume Sample this month, firstly what i like about this is it comes in a teeny weeny spray bottle, I hate perfume samples in the little tubes that you can't actually wear properly as you have to tip it on.  I love the VIVA LA JUICY perfume. i may have to go out and buy this it smells super sweet and fruity, that probably explains the description of mandarin, wild berries, honey suckle, gardenia and wild amber. mmm!
value; $5.20

the 5th and final product this month was CLINIQUE COLOUR SURGE STAY MATTE EYSHADOW, who doesn't love eyeshadow, and matte eyeshade is very wearable, the colors are great for everyday wear, unfortunately the french vanilla showed very little pigment on my skin tone as they were to similar but i do like the other two, night plum (center) and stone violet (top) great crease colors.
value: unknown

Final thoughts, this was a good glam pack, nothing really excited me but I do love the perfume so it created excitement. the only disappointment for me was the serum but i think if i was older/wiser i might have loved this one too, I'm not gonna rate this one, it was a limited edition so this can be a limited edition review.

go get you some xx

Sample bar April review. (NZ birch box)

Okay, so it's April already and I was pretty excited to see my glam pack on my bed when I got home, present time. Needless to say I think I'm a little disappointed this month sample bar. It's not that it had bad things in it there was just nothing that really mad me excited. Ho-hum.!!!

This month was all about being Eco friendly and not to forget Eco chic at the same time. Awesome.

So I guess the first thing I noticed was the Easter egg.!! Yum ( no picture I ate thus before I had a chance haha) thanks sample bar.

But then I found the first actual sample this month:
EVOLU TRAVEL TOWER
basically this is 6 beauty products in little travel size pots that's screw together for even more convenience, I do think this is pretty cool it has cleanser, exfoliator, eye cream, day cream, hydrating mask and night cream. Every thing you need, I'm gunna keep this handy in my handbag for those unexpected sleepovers at friends,
Value: 1 tower $21.40 ( purchase 3 at a time and sample bar gave us a $20 off voucher that's almost 1 free)

Next was the shampoo bar, sorry no photo of this either.
SORBET SHAMPOO BAR
I guess I was kinda excited about this but I was also kinda cynical about it too, being a hairdresser and only wanting to use the best thing I can for my hair but I gave it a go and so far so good., it suds up and my smelled real good. I will use it again. The paper around it even was Eco friendly and disolved in water pretty cool if you ask me.
Value: I have no idea how many grams the bar I got was but a full sized ( 95g bar) is $22.50 and 15% off with discount code.

Another night cream this month (yawn.!)
ANTIPODES AVOCADO PEAR NOURUSHING NIGHT CREAM
So this is just a 10ml sample, which normally I would be secretly guttered about ( I love my deluxe samples) but thank goodness. Do not send me night cream next month haha! Although I used this tonight and its quite nice I just like my night cream by dermalogica much more .
Value: sample $4(ish) dollars

PHÂRO MICROFIBRE EXFOLIATING CLOTH
everyone should know how important it is to exfoliate, prevents ingrown hairs, removes dead skin cells ETC... This is going to be handy as I was just thinking about getting some new exfoliating gloves. Perf timing sample bar, this isn't as rough as the gloves though so will be interesting to use.
Value : $5.95 and ten dollars off a sugaring treatment., hair removal with less ouch.?

Then I was even more disappointed cause I couldn't find my last sample, luckily it was hiding underneath all the confetti strips.,
PERFUMIES
solid perfume, no need to worry about it spilling in your bag or suitcase., ill probably loose it in my bag of a hundred things though considering I lost it in my tiny box of 5 things... I kinda think it smells really subtle. And kinda like a floral soap not gunna lie, but a guess i'll smell clean when I wear it😛
Value: $10.95

So in my opinion a pretty average performance this month. Cool idea but it just didnt hit the mark for me 3/5 ( and that's a little influenced by the chocolate)

Total value: 42.55 + the value of the shampoo bar ( I do think these boxes are worth it cause if you check out my previous reviews the value if the box is usually double what you pay for it) and this month we got 30 dollars worth of vouchers and 15% off discount code. Pretty good.

Love always

Haul.!! The balm and Maybelline and swatches

HAUL!! Maybelline color tattoo and THE BALM

I got THE BALM products off of Paganmarienz, really awesome site for dresses and now they stock lime crime and the balm, really quick shipping too. (I get mine overnight). I have used these all a few times now so Ill let you know quick first impressions.

Bad to the bronze:
Really easy to wear, you can wear it alone for a quick even day look. it lasts all day. buildable.

Painted Purple:
not as pigmented as i would have thought and a little disappointed at how matte it it, but will be a good base for purple shadows.

Tough as taupe:
really pigmented, great crease color lasts all day. matte.
Bold gold:
really nice gold, buildable, will be a good base for gold shadows, last all day

BAHAMA MAMA:
these products have the coolest names and packaging. Really soft bronzer, but also very pigmented, easily blended and build able soft looks created just as easy as dramatic looks.

Mary lou-manizer:
(really bad quality pic, my bad) apparently ever so popular i had to snap this up while it was in stock, i really love this highlight, it lasts all day, even after my foundation has worn off, crazy. i have built is up in the swatch but just gives a dewy glow.

Liquid time balm:
concealer, has tea tree oils, really smells like tea tree so stay away if yuor not a fan of that smell, i like this though and my few pimply areas have calmed down from using this, generally lasts all day exempt on bigger bumps.

I even go this mini mascara as a bonus.!! woo who doesn't love freebies. What's your type, body builder.
I like this mascara heaps too its really black and the small wand makes it easy to apply and its not clumpy at all. thanks paganmarienz, I will defs buy some more soon.! and of course i'll blog all about it ;)

how to be a good blonde.!

How to be a good blonde.!

Hair care tips that I think really help (great for trying to grow it too)

So here is a quick history of my hair, I had Dark brown hair about halfway down my back and then two years ago I made the decision to go blonde, we did this as a process, by doing foils and more foils and more and more until my hair was super blonde, unfortunately all that bleaching caused my hair a heck ton of breakage. I started noticing it getting shorter and shorter (without cutting it) until it was probably 1 inch above my bra strap and I though enough was enough and we cut it to above my shoulders (arrrggghh.!!!) that was exactly 1 year ago, from that day I made a promise to myself to keep my hair healthy and its grown about 12cm in the last year. yay!!

heres my tips.!
Firstly I dont bleach the underneath quarter of my hair, from the top of ears down, no one ever notices even with my hair up an it ensures the health of the underneath which, lets face it, is where most of your length comes from, I stopped bleaching that after my hair cut to my shoulders so there is about 4cm of blonde on the ends, makes me remember how short it was.

Don't over shampoo, a lot of blondes wash there hair too much, the fact is blonde hair is normally finer so appears flat or regrowth tricks you into thinking you have greasy roots, shampooing too much can strip the natural oils from the hair, I tend to shampoo every 2-3 days. I use a dry shampoo on in-between days if i need too KMS MAKEOVER SPRAY.

buy a decent treatment, invest in a good treatment and your hair will thank you for it, if you find your roots get too heavy apply it away from the roots, treatments are super moisturizing, and help reconstruct hair, they also detangle and make your hair feel and look uh-mazing. I apply a treatment on my hair every time or every second time I was my hair, but once a week or fortnight will be enough,  I have two, morrocan oil intense hydrating mask and redken all soft heavy cream.

I personally condition every day from mid-lengths to ends with a nice thick conditioner.

leave in products, i love morracan oil light oil, (the light version is for blondes, win) I apply a pump of this through my ends of may hair everyday, for shine, moisture, detangling, treatment, defrizzing etc..

avoid hot tools,  I usually let my hair dry naturally if i can help it and don't straighten my hair very often at all. i have a few tricks for no heat curls (i'll get round to blogging them) or otherwise  let it do its own thing.

last of all HAIRCUTTING RULES, if your trying to grow your hair, like I have been. a hair cut every 8-10 weeks should do the trick, about 7mm should be heaps enough, especially if you do the above. Avoid chopping off more at awkward lengths, just remember the awkward stage will come back if you don't get through it, just trim it, you will feel fresher and new and even though it will still be awkward you will be happier.!
also if your hair is anything like mine (Fine) remember its only going to get finer looking with more length, think about the look you want in the future, don't chip out the length and do lots of layers now if you want long even thickish looking hair.

hope that helps. :)

forever21 haul/lookbook

HEY, so I had a bit of a spend up a while back at forever21 andy thought the best way to show you would be to do a look book with the items I got.

Bow belt. who doesn't love bow belts .  From Dotti

black and gold necklace, From Diva

Black wedges. From cotton on.

Sparkle heels. From Hannahs
The next dress was this gorgeous highly dress with a studded bodice, this dress is a statement on its on so some simple black sparkle heels is all this needs.
